Q. Can you tell us about yourself and where you are from? A. I am from Springfield, Minnesota and have two older brothers. I live in Grand Forks now with my husband, daughter, and my two dogs. I love to stay active and do crossfit at Crossfit Soulfire. I love spending time with family and friends and you can find me at the race track or in the baby pool during the summer months!
Q. Was there a moment when you decided to become a teacher? A. I decided to be a teacher after shadowing my junior year with my mom in a Kindergarten Readiness classroom.
Q. What do you like most about teaching at Sacred Heart? A. I love the connections with students and those little light bulb moments. I love the support from parents within the classroom. I am enjoying reading the series, "The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks" during snack time with them!
Q. What is your educational background? A. I went to St. Raphael Catholic School Pre-K through 6th grade. I then attended Springfield Public from 7th through 12th. I attended Southwest Minnesota State University for Early Childhood as well as Elementary Education.
Q. Is there any activity or event you have enjoyed so far this year? A. I have really enjoyed Praise and Worship with Mrs. Gulbranson and Mrs. Bertram.
Q. What interests do you pursue outside of the classroom? A. I do rock climbing, snowmobiling, and watch racing as a part of a race team! I met my husband in Knoxville, IA at Knoxville Nationals for Sprint Car Racing. Our getaway car at our wedding was a two seater street legal sprint car owned by Mark Dobmeier. The temperature was -25 degrees (real feel was -52).
